A quick read by Dr Spencer Johnson. An oft recommended book for anyone who is a fresher and starting a career in the corporate world, the book helps ones understand how to deal with changes in life.
3. Malgudi Days
An adorable, heart tugging collection of stories about little Swamy and the residents of the town of Malgudi, written by R K Narayan. No reader’s reading list is complete without this book. It features simple, earthy stories about people of Malgudi and their lives, which are extremely identifiable and enjoyable.
4. Love Story
A book by Erich Segal which will reduce you to tears and also keep you in splits, despite you knowing the climax. Known to be one of the most heart-breaking love stories written in recent times, it is a very quick read and the only reason you might stop while reading, is because you are too overwhelmed.
5. The Great Gatsby
Set in the fictional town of West Egg, this 1925 novel is about a young millionaire who is quite mysterious. Written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby takes us to the mysterious world of Jay Gatsby who hosts extravagant parties which he himself doesn’t attend.
